About Fired Pilgrim

Was raised in a large working class family...a UNION family. Dad was a WWII veteran and a labor union member for over 40 years, and was able to raise family of 7 with only one (major) income, and several small ones (baby-sitting, paper routes, mowing lawns, etc.) Our parents brought us up to have compassion for those less fortunate, and at the same time, to not envy or begrudge the wealth of those much more fortunate. Remember, back during that time, wealthy citizens actually paid a FAIR SHARE in income taxes. I was fortunate enough to have access to affordable higher education. I lament that for my kids, this is no longer the case.
